We from Perry, Iowa, are very lucky to be the home of such a classy, yet perfect-for-relaxation coffee shop. Perry Perk is my go-to in Perry for having breakfast or lunch with my granddaughter or friends. My granddaughter's favorite (depending on time of day) is a PB&J sandwich or cinnamon roll. Mine is either a chicken-salad sandwich or ham-and-cheese panini. No matter what I eat there, my choice of beverage is ALWAYS the White Chocolate Salted Caramel Mocha, either full-caff or half-caff. OR, the Strawberry Mango Smoothie. Yum!
If you are from West Des Moines, Waukee or Jefferson, Perry Perk is only about a 30-minute drive. It's even closer to Panora, Lake Panorama, Woodward or Adel. A little further from Ames.
I'm very excited that through the end of May, samples of my portraiture will be on display at Perry Perk. I'll rotate in-and-out the samples once or twice, but throughout the month high school senior pictures, family photos, and photos of children will be on display. Some are lifestyle; some are more posed and photographed in my studio. While you are at Perry Perk sipping your latté, or having a quiche or whatever your choice, I hope you'll take a look at my artistic photography located throughout Perry Perk.
Also, this Saturday, May 12, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. will once again be Perry's Fiber Art Fair. Artists' work will be displayed at Perry Perk as well as at other locations within walking distance, including La Poste and Betsy Peterson Designs.
FYI, Perry Perk is closed on Sundays and Mondays, and after 1:00 on Saturdays (but open by request on typically-closed days and after hours).
